Singles Department
We have been blessed to do the will of God and live abundantly. For this year of 2007, the vision and focus for the Singles Department not only includes being a light to our city and reaching the lost, but we will give full attention to our family, our friendships and our finances. It is our goal, through focused activity and events to unite together as a stronger part of the body in friendship with one another, while devoting more time to cultivating wholesome relationships with our children, parents, brothers and sisters, and move towards experiencing complete financial freedom. When we as singles experience stronger bonds of family and friendship coupled with financial freedom, we position ourselves to more effectively reach our world through the power of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Our Singles walk in the knowledge that they are complete in Christ (spirit, soul and body.) The Singles Ministry fosters a supportive Christian fellowship for personal and spiritual growth and development. The Singles gather for teachings, informal monthly meetings and periodic outings.

Single, But No Time For Life !
Do you feel overwhelmed by all the tasks you must complete at work, home and at church? We have all felt at sometime that there is too much to do and too little time to get it done, but when that becomes the rule rather than the exception it is time to reorganize, rethink, and rework our priorities.
The first step in destressing our lives is to determine where we are spending our time. For at least two weeks, keep a journal and write down everything that you do that takes more than five minutes. At the end of the two weeks categorize the activites and add up the total amount of time spent on each activity. You may find several ways to combine, condense or delegate some of your daily activities to free up more time. You may find that there are even some things that you can eliminate from your daily schedule. Get rid of the clutter.
Number two, we must "get real" about the number of high priorities we allow for ourselves. Review goals and task that must be accomplished first and highlight only the ten most important. You don't have to give up the other items or goals that you put aside, simply put them on hold for now. As you accomplish some goals, you can remove them from your high priority list and move something else to a high priority in its place. By focusing on fewer goals at one time you can accomplish more of them in a shorter period of time because you are not spreading yourself thin by working on too many things at one time.
Last, break down goals into daily, weekly and monthly goals. This allows you to focus and gives you a time limit to make it more likely that you will complete each goal. Be realistic about the time limits that you impose on yourself. If you find a task or goal imposing, break it down into smaller sections and parts. Make each part or task a goal and make sure to acknowledge to yourself when each of these items are complete.
Be sure to include fun time in your busy schedule.
God Bless!
